44 out of 53 found this helpful Hi, I think the previous poster was trying to say 6 weeks, because it is around that area of time that a heartbeat can be picked up with an internal ultrasound. This is nothing to mess with ladies, it is a very serious situation, if you have had a previous ectopic pregnancy and find you are pregnant, you need to be seen as soon as you find out, don't let the docs office give you an appointment 2 weeks away or anything. It is very possible that you may go on and have a normal pregnancy but you do need to err on the side of caution. I have had two, one busted and I was hemmoraging fairly well, the other was surgically removed, but my tube was saved (only because I got in immediately). I am now pregnant again, so its very possible. Good luck all! posted 09/14/2007 by a BabyCenter Member Report answer Was this answer helpful? Yes | No Thank you!
37 out of 44 found this helpful I justed wanted to post an update...I am 15 weeks pregnant after my ectopic :) I've had two ultrasounds, one at 6 weeks that showed the yolk sak and heartbeat, and one at 13 weeks that showed my tiny baby bouncing around in my uterus. It was such a relief to hear a heartbeat, and see tiny arms and legs moving all around! Keep the faith ladies, you CAN get pregnant after an ectopic! Everything happens for a reason, and maybe the ectopic happened to clear the tube for this baby to make its way to the uterus four months later. Four more weeks and we will know if its a boy or girl! It can happen! posted 07/27/2010 by haines11 Report answer Was this answer helpful? Yes | No Thank you!
28 out of 28 found this helpful I had an ectopic pregnancy recently and my left tube was removed. My doctor suggested me and my husband to take pencilin injections to get a normal pregnancy for the next time. Can anyone please suggest me whether pencilin injections or anyother antibiotics necessary to get pregnant normally posted 07/22/2016 by umadattaa Report answer Was this answer helpful? 19 out of 19 found this helpful You can absolutely get pregnant after an ectopic pregnancy. My first pregnancy was ectopic. I have had 2 children since then, and I am currently preganant with #3. There is a slightly higher chance that you will have another ectopic, but make sure you get an early scan just to rule out another future possible ectopic once you find out you are pregnant. I was fortunate and have only had one myself. posted 03/28/2008 by jacklar Report answer Was this answer helpful? Yes | No Thank you!
19 out of 20 found this helpful yes, but there is a higher chance of having a second ectopic pregnancy if you have had one already, although i have heard of a lot of women going on to concieve and have children after having a tube removed. if you do fall pregnant - and it may take longer - you are sposed to go for an ultrasound at six months, thats when they should be able to pick something up. I had blood tessts when i found out i had an ectopic pregnancy. i didn't want to believe was happening. i am now scared to death of it happening again. I don't have children and would love to have one. posted 09/10/2007 by idealis_m Report answer Was this answer helpful? Yes | No Thank you!
25 out of 34 found this helpful i had an ectopic pregnancy which landed me in the hospital because my tube had burst and I was internally bleeding. I had emergency surgery and when i woke up my dr told she had to remove my right tube. On the upside I got one cycle after that and i was waiting for one more cycle to go for the test where they shoot the dye in my other tube to make sure that there was no damage in the inside or blockage. Well I never got that second cycle because I became preggers with my 2nd child! My hubby and I are trying for a 3rd baby! Its been about 6 months but we arent giving up that we will have that 3rd baby! posted 01/20/2010 by a BabyCenter Member Report answer Was this answer helpful? Yes | No Thank you!
16 out of 17 found this helpful I had an egtopic pregnancy, internal bleeding for 10 days, had surgery on 9/30/2011 and lost my right tube. My doctor told me to rest my body for 6 months before trying to get pregnant again. She told me a formula to follow to get pregnant. According to her me and my partner should do it 12 days after the first day of my period and we did... I had my period 1/1/2012 and we did it on 1/12/2012. Its 01/30/2012. I did the pregancy test and its positive. We just couldnt wait that long (6 months). Im going for the bloodwork this week so I will keep everyone posted. But as to can u get pregnant or not... well u definitely can :) good luck to all posted 01/30/2012 by mfig82 Report answer Was this answer helpful? Yes | No Thank you!
14 out of 15 found this helpful Yes you can get pregnant after an ectopic I got pregnant after my ectopic with another ectopic and almost lost my life cause i didnt watch for the signs of it. So as soon as you miss a period go in and find out if its in the right place just to make sure the baby is safe and so are you!!! Not to scare you but i did almost die cause the doctors knew i was bleeding and didnt do anything about it and the baby ruptured my tube and i bleed internally for 3 days till i lose over half my blood and had a 50% chance of living so go with a doctor that knows what there doing please!! Dont do what i did and go with any doctor!! posted 02/16/2008 by a BabyCenter Member Report answer Was this answer helpful? Yes | No Thank you!
