Can you have an ectopic pregnancy and a negative urine pregnancy test? - Acid Reflux

I had a tubal ligation two years ago. I have currently been experiencing pregnancy symptoms, such as nausea, light headedness, excessive tiredness, abdominal swelling and an unexplainable weight gain of 5+ lbs. I went to the doctor the pregnancy test was negative. I was informed I had a UTI, and that was the cause for my symptoms. I have had UTI's in the past and never experienced everything I am now. My symptoms have continued while on antibiotics. What should I do? I am not a doctor and can't diagnose you, but those symptoms (except for perhaps the weight gain) can all be related to a UTI. If the antibiotics are not improving your condition, you really need to return to the doctor for follow up care. How long have you been taking antibiotics? It may take a while for them to take effect.
